Prior to last night’s clinical dispatch of Tampa Bay, it felt like the New York Rangers hadn’t won a game since, well, long before Mark Messier began making remodeling plans for Glen Sather’s office. So in tribute to the unlikely scoring punch of Colton Orr and Ryan Hollweg (above) — each of whom ended career long scoring droughts against the Lightning on Friday…here’s some completely gratuitous footage of Orr doing the sort of thing he’s best known for.
I mean, I’d rather link to Orr’s goal. But even with the NHL’s YouTube deal, such clips aren’t so easy to find, not right away, anyhow. Tapeleg’s got some ideas about a do-it-thyself highlight show and outside of bandwidth and/or copyright issues (ie. how fast a YouTube clip is removed these days), there’s no reason such an innovation won’t be headed our way.
I don’t believe even bandwidth would be an issue. My hosting company offers me 2TB of bandwidth a month (that’s 2000 GB) If you don’t crack yourself up like the Versus crew, you can probably get away with it on one account. If you needed two, do a left coast and right coast podcast, to split up the bandwidth.
