The following might not be as thrilling as the war of words between Stephon Marbury and Bob Cousy, but let’s reflect on the 2002 trade that sent Marcus Camby and Mark Jackson and a future first rounder (no. 7 pick overall in the 2002 draft) to Denver in exchange for Antonio McDyees. The Nuggets used said pick on Nene Hillario, hillariously passing on the eventual no. 9 selection, high schooler Amare Stoudemire.

The same Amare’ Stoudemire who lit up the Blazers for 50 points last night.

Just to make even more people feel bad, here are some other talented players that were drafted ahead of Stoudemire.

2) Jay Williams (Chicago)
3) Mike Dunleavy (Golden State)
4) Drew Gooden (Memphis)
6) Dajuan Wagner (Cleveland)
8) Chris Wilcox (Clippers)
