Nate McMillan will be succeeded in Seattle by assistant Bob Weiss, reports the Tacoma News Tribune. Weiss, a member of the original Sonics in 1967 and member of the coaching staff since 1994, has previously served as head coach for San Antonio, Atlanta and the Clippers.
The Indianapolis Star’s Mike Wells reports that Ron Artest had his 2nd strong game in a row as the Pacers beat the Knicks in yesterday’s Minneapolis Summer League contest, but more interestingly, Indy C David Harrison picked up his 4th technical foul in just 3 games, this time for hanging onto the rim.
