OK, granted it was just K.C., but Cleveland’s Jake Westbrook was scorching Wednesday night, scattering 6 singles while walking none in a 112-pitch, complete game shutout. Travis Hafner (above, far right) touched up Jeremy Afeldt for HR no. 13, a 3rd inning grand slam, and Casey Blake extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a single in the 2nd inning.
Steve Trachsel and Mark Mulder are currently in the midst of what Bob Murphy would’ve called a mound duel. I’m just waiting for Darryl Strawberry to hit one off the clock in about 90 minutes.
