I had the distinct pleasure of listening to Harry Shearer’s “Le Show” last night during a long taxi journey to JFK, and enjoyed Shearer’s take on OJ Simpson’s recent dispute with DirectTV — even if it sort of echoed the same joke that Jim Rome had already told 4 or 5 times. O.J. would’ve prefered a jury trial. And why not, he’s done well with them in the past.
Harry’s impression of Larry King taking a call from an aggrieved Juice was pretty funny, though if someone wasn’t aware of what Simpson actually sounded like, they might be left with the impression that he’s a dead ringer for Andrew Dice Clay.
